We are so grateful for all that our fabulous artists bring,
and for the audience, as without them, there would be no concerts!
We so appreciates these folks who are helping to spread the word of the series with their kind words!
“In my book, Jill and RiverFolk do as fine a job of presenting live music as anyone out there. The venue is great, but it’s the welcome and the community that gets me every time. It’s like coming home in all the good ways, and who can’t use a little more of that in this world these days?"
RiverFolk Concerts are one of my favorite places to perform. I've had the pleasure of being a feature artist and I've also been part of a couple of Phil Ochs tribute concerts. Jill and her staff are first rate in every way. Great venue with a deep sense of respect for presenting music and art! Can't say enough good things!
“There are good venues, great venues, venues that build community and then there is RIVERFOLK…The whole package.
Truly…I began my musical journey with a guitar, some songs and a dream.
In 2004 I met Jill Padua/ RiverFolk and she has supported my creative growth, connected me with other musicians, and offered totally hospitality to me and my music for 10 years.
Over that time, RiverFolk has actively worked to build my audience. A commitment. Together we collaborate and vision how to make each show inspiring and fresh.
Jill says..“Joe, bring us your music, your art, your films..and RiverFolk will gather human souls who will appreciate and soak it in”
Thank you Jill and RiverFolk..truly one the most vibrant, supportive venues anywhere. Period.
I had a truly great experience playing Riverfolk Concerts! The venue – The Cooperage – is a hidden gem and I would highly recommend anyone in the area and even folks in the TriState area to check it out. Jill Padua takes fantastic care of her artists and provides a level of comfort any touring musician will appreciate and won’t soon forget. I’m already looking forward to being back at this wonderful concert series.
The RiverFolk Concert series in Honesdale, PA is one of the best kept secrets in the acoustic music circuit. Held in the newly renovated Cooperage right in the downtown area, this series often offers performers and local performers workshop options in addition to the evening concert series. The vibe of the place is vibrant and righteous: a community space, being used and enjoyed by the community all week long. The sound guys are great, the system sounds good in the room, and the volunteers and audience members are a delight. I always rejoice when this gig comes back around again. Thanks to Jill Padua, the crew of volunteers there and the town of Honesdale for its vision in helping this lovely little venue survive.
RiverFolk Concerts is a wonderful representation of what can happen when a gathering of people (lead by one dedicated and heartfelt spark plug) bring their love of music and community together. As a performer I feel listened too, valued, and inspired to be there and my feeling is that all those who gather feel the same way. Our musical community as well as the community beyond is held strong by places like RiverFolk Concerts. We are lucky to have a few of these around the country and we MUST lean in to make them as strong as they can be, because the ripples spread in powerful ways. Oh, and it should be mentioned that the food, the sound, and the space are all independently worthy of heaps of praise!
Acoustic Eidolon has worked with River Folk Concerts many times over the years and we always look forward to returning. Jill does an awesome job of promoting and making sure all bases are covered. She takes great care of us and she’s a wonderful cook!

Jill Padua is an amazing cook and a true hostess. The space is beautiful, with great acoustics, and the audiences are down to earth, and enthusiastic. It's one of those dream venues you wish could play in over and over again. RiverFolk is special!
“We have been attending RiverFolk Concerts for the past six years. Every single concert has been an amazing experience due to both the talent of the performing artists and the spirit of the audience in attendance. It is a wonderful opportunity to come together to celebrate the arts and each other. Aside from being able to hear current artists live in our own community, the venue itself is intimate and acoustically excellent. As an added bonus, you can take advantage of delicious light fare! An evening like this in the city would be a major expense. At the Cooperage in conjunction with RiverFolk, you can hear live music and gather with friends and family for a memorable night out that will restore your spirit in the best of ways! We have brought many family and friends to these concerts throughout the years and no one has ever been disappointed. All who have been eager to return and travel long distances to do so!”

“You can count on RiverFolk for a great concert! The producer, Jill Padua, has been doing this for a long time and knows what she and her audience likes. She also introduces new talent, often destined for fame in the near future. Joe Crookston, Brother Sun, David Roth, Christine Lavin, Ellis… the list goes on and on, one great singer-songwriter after another. Thanks so much, Jill, for bringing such great music to the Upper Delaware River Valley region!”

“Once again, spending an evening at The Cooperage, attending a RiverFolk Concert, send me home with warm, grateful and joyous feeling. I know that when going there, I can always rely on terrific talent, creative inspiration an the company of an enthusiastic and wonderfully social audience.
And there’s more, a choice of delicious food, splendid prized and a detailed announcement of future concerts planned to look forward to.
But most of all is the presence of Jill, the founder and organizer of RiverFolk Concerts, who’s always in attendance, filling the beautiful little theater with an atmosphere of appreciation and confidence in the arts, along with the understanding of its beneficial effects on the human spirit.
We are so thankful to have Jill and the gift of such marvelous entertainment available right here in out “backyard” of Honesdale. It is with deep gratitude that we thanks Jill for her consistent hard work, on-going enthusiasm and incredible dedication.”

“I absolutely fell in love with RiverFolk Concerts at The Cooperage in Honesdale when a good friend took me to a concert there a little over a year ago. I've been back again and again every chance I can get and every show I’ve attended has been unforgettable.
This is absolutely my favorite small music venue in the Tri-State Area. It's intimate, classy and beautifully structured and it serves its musicians and audience right. There's not a bad seat in the house. There are desserts, savory snacks & non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase and you are welcome to BYOB.

I have been attending Riverfolk Concerts for almost five years now. I have seen some of my most favorite artists and been introduced to even more amazing music and musical friends over the years than I ever would have thought to find in this area. Not only have I found joy in every performance, but I am sincerely grateful to belong to this community of friends, musicians, volunteers, lovers of the arts and overall incredible human beings!
